About Us

A flat fee you can live with.

WiseMove assembled a team of ADVISORS instead of salespeople to help you navigate an industry that is clouded with ambiguity and confusion. Technology has overhauled the traditional real estate buying and selling process, yet the outdated commission pay structure has stayed the same.

We streamlined the buying and selling process by only charging a simple flat fee. Think about it: The hours spent selling a $300,000 house is the same as a $500,000 house. Why should the compensation to the REALTOR® be roughly $6000 more for the $500,000 house than that of the $300,000 house? It just doesn’t make sense, which is why we offer a single flat fee and provide our staff of seasoned REALTORS® and specialists to help clients of all budgets and experience levels.

Ben Tarantino, Valuation Specialist & Founder

Before entering the real estate industry, Ben honed his skills in valuation by managing an investment portfolio of over $80 Million in assets. After calling the collapse of the Stock Market in 2008, Ben partnered with Jude Kernaghan to create the K&T Institute, a real estate development company. Together they have built and renovated almost 100 houses in the greater New Orleans area. Ben’s unique combination of experiences in both financial services and real estate resulted in an idea for a new kind of pricing model – The WiseMove Real Estate Difference. Ben is a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he worked as a signals intelligence officer for the National Security Agency. Ben graduated with a BS in Finance from Louisiana State University. When Ben is not at work, you’ll find him running around the city or at his home in the Treme enjoying time with his wife, two children, and their dogs.

Karla M. Frias,  Marketing Director

Between the live music, good drinks, and best eats, Karla knew New Orleans had to be home.  An LSU Tiger that has worked in politics and advertising, Karla quickly realized that marketing was her passion. She always wanted to work for a company that strived to make a positive impact in their community. Once Karla learned about WiseMove’s mission to disrupt the industry by providing a fair flat fee for real estate transactions, she knew that she needed to help spread the word throughout the New Orleans Metropolitan area. Along with WiseMove’s marketing, Karla is also responsible for the email and social campaigns and graphics for each house listed with WiseMove. When she’s not designing & strategizing, you find her food blogging as co-owner of @HowNolaEats, cooking, beating her fiancé Erin at Gin Rummy, or snuggling with her dog Tycho, & cats Lancelot & Junior.
